Engaged.

“Life has been exciting since my last fall update. It was sometime this fall that I realized that my best friend was Sandi Shelton. We seemed to find every excuse to call each other, hang out together and generally do life together. It wasn’t long before I had a desire to marry her. Following our annual Breakaway conference in Brainerd I drove her back to Bemidji. I had her house prepared so that when we arrived after lunch she was expecting to meet with our supervisor. Music and a dozen roses awaited. I handed her a jounal and got down on one knee to ask her to marry me. She said yes, but that wasn’t it. I took her skiing and when we came back I had arranged that a meal I had prepared earlier in the week would be cooked and we would have a candle light dinner awaiting. Waiting in her glass of water was an ice cube with an engagement ring in it. About 10 minutes into the dinner she said, “”Are you kidding me, there is a ring at the bottom of my glass?”””
